How to register on eBay - A step by step guide

So you’ve heard all about this thing called eBay. You’ve heard that it’s a great place to shop online for bargains, rare goods, or even everyday needs. You’ve heard that it’s also a great place to start your own business or maybe to turn your old, used things into extra cash. You’ve visited a couple of times, but you were always put off by the fact that you had to “become a member” before you could buy or sell on eBay.

Not to worry. There are, in fact, good reasons for requiring Internet users to join before they are allowed to buy and sell on eBay, but aside from the reasons, it’s actually an easy process and it costs you nothing to join. If you’re ready to take the plunge and become a part of the eBay community, here’s how to do it, one step at a time.

Step 1: Click “register” on eBay’s front page

Near the upper-left of eBay’s front page, you should see a message that says “Welcome! Sign in or register.” Click on the word “register” (circled in image) to begin the registration process. Note: If instead you see a personal welcome phrase like “Welcome, John Doe!” you should click on the words “Sign out” immediately to the right of the welcome phrase. The page will reload, this time showing the “register” link that you need to click.

Jobboldali vezetés Angliában - Az én storym az álomautótól a rozsdahegyig

Published by petimi under living in the UK

Continue Reading »

Going for a contract phone…

When you think you know about the best deals in town if it comes to gadgets you are probably wrong. There’s always a better deal! I took a new 18 month contact on Orange via Phones4u recently and I was pretty satisfied with the deal. Walked out with £130 cashback in my pocket a brand new shiny BlackBerry Curve with 1 gb memory included all for free paying £35 per month.

It sounds like a great deal, hah? I thought so until today when I discovered mobiles.co.uk which is the online store of Cardphone Warehouse - the high street mobile dealer you are probably aware of already. So check this out: They are giving away Free Playstation 3 consoles, 8 gb iPod touch mp3 players, HD TVs and so much other stuff if you take an 18 month contract from them online. Couldn’t believe it but after a little research it turned out to be completely true, it’s legitimate, fully real deal. Lots of people got the free gift delivered along with the new phone.

If you want a new contract phone and you plan to pay about £35 per month for your bill go nowhere else but mobiles.co.uk coz you will get some FREE gift worth up to £300 like a PS3. I wish I would have done that.

Web Design and Hungarian Property

Time to summarize the year. After several months thinking and planning in the end of 2007 I was ready to make the big step. I quit my daytime job and decided to start my own business. I always wanted to stand on my own feet without having anybody telling me what to do. I said: 2008 will be THE year when I start. I knew it will be a long journey and all I could think is one thing: it is a challenge I am up for.

I had two ideas in mind: Web Design and Real Estate.

Web design because it’s IT and this is what I’ve been studying for all my life. It’s all about creativity, it keeps your mind awake and makes you produce knew ideas. It can also be useful building a strong portfolio in web design for a long term future project of mine: Image Design (not to forget about my ambitions becoming an image consultant one day) .

Real estate because it’s something I am very interested in lately and I’m thrilled to learn about. It is a kind of thing that you learn by doing it. No matter how many books you have read. You gotta go out there. I have built promising connections in real estate over the years that I can finally out into use.

So the results of the two ideas above are:

  • www4u - Low Cost Websites  : A web design solution mainly targeting professional individuals and small businesses. A cost effective web design service that gives functional and attractive web appearance for those who don’t want to spend a fortune on a website.
  • Rockefeller Property : An estate agency that specialises in selling Hungarian Property in the UK. Holiday homes, new and resale property, buy-to-let investments, large-scale commercial property in Hungary, off-plan developments. From summer 2008 Rockefeller Property is also dealing with UK lettings providing dedicated landlord / tenant services for Polish and Hungarian clients.

That’s it so far. Visit my websites to find out more.

Lebara Mobile - Cheap phone calls to Hungary, Poland, Spain etc.

Published by petimi under living in the UK, reviews

I said that I am not promoting any stuff no more: This is not a promotion, just a review. “We” foreign fellas and ladyfolks in the UK always try to find the ways to communicate with our friends and family in the cheapest way - there’s SkypeOut, landline, some dodgy temporary voip phone providers who often disappear from the market after a while. Lots of guys use BigTel, but I heard many negative critics about it. Bad voice quality, lack of coverage. But check this out…:

Now, here’s Lebara Mobile’s new low-cost mobile solution. It is pay as you go, no contracts and it beats all the provider’s prices I’m aware.

lebara_mobile.jpgI grabbed a SIM at Phones4u a few weeks ago, it came with a £20 topup on it and it was ready to use. I can tell it is better voice quality and stronger signal with Lebara than with my contract Orange phone. Which is quite cool. The key to it is that Lebara uses the Vodafone network in the UK. And vodafone is well-known about their good (however not the cheapest) services. On top of all that here what everyone’s the most curious about: the call tarrifs. Here is a short list of the countries I regularly call (prices from the Lebara website correct on today’s date):

Country Landline calls Mobile calls
Hungary 4p/min 14/min
Poland 4p/min 9p/min
Spain 4p/min 15p/min
